Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Covenant Critter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect from visitors and customers in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit or make a purchase from our website.

By using our website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Covenant Critter is a small business based in Provo, Utah, United States. If you have any questions or requests related to this Privacy Policy or your personal information, you can contact us at:

  • Email: covenantcrittershelp@gmail.com
  • Phone: 605‑431‑4068

2. Scope and audience

This Privacy Policy applies to our website and online store that sell products to customers located in the United States. Our products are designed for children but are marketed to adults (such as parents, family members, and gift‑givers), and the site is intended to be used by adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

3. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us when you use our website, including when you place an order or contact us. This may include:

  • Identification and contact details: name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing address.
  • Order information: products purchased, order date, order total, and related transaction details.
  • Device and usage information: limited technical data collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as pages viewed and basic interaction with the site (see “Cookies and tracking technologies”).

We do not operate email newsletters, waitlists, or customer accounts at this time; checkout is guest‑only.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To process and fulfill your orders, including shipping your products, handling payments (through our payment processor), and providing order updates.
  • To communicate with you about your order or to respond to questions you send us.
  • To maintain and improve our website, store, and customer experience, including troubleshooting and analytics.
  • To help protect our website, business, and customers from fraud and security threats.
  • To support limited advertising and performance measurement (for example, via the Meta pixel), where permitted by law and subject to your choices (see “Targeted advertising and your choices”).

We do not use your information to send marketing emails or text messages, and we do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal bases and U.S./Utah focus

We operate primarily under United States law, with a focus on Utah requirements for businesses that handle consumer data. While many small businesses are not formally subject to the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA) due to size and revenue thresholds, we aim to follow its core principles of transparency, reasonable security, and respecting consumer rights where we are able to do so.

6. Payments and card information

Payments on our site are processed through GoDaddy Payments and its underlying payment providers. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers; those details are handled securely by the payment processor, and we typically only see limited information such as the last few digits and card type. We keep order records (including basic transaction details) for up to one year, after which we either delete or de‑identify them in our systems where possible.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function properly and to understand how visitors use the site.

  • Essential cookies: used for basic site operations, such as keeping items in your cart and enabling checkout.
  • Functional/performance cookies: may help us understand simple usage patterns so we can improve the site.
  • Advertising/analytics cookies: we use the Meta pixel in a limited way to understand how visitors interact with our site and to support advertising and performance measurement on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

A cookie banner appears when you first visit the site, informing you that cookies are used and giving you the opportunity to manage your preferences or continue using the site with cookies enabled, depending on your browser and settings. You can also control cookies through your browser settings by deleting or blocking cookies, though some features of the site may not work properly if you do so.

8. Targeted advertising and your choices

We may use certain information (such as pages viewed or products purchased) to help us measure and improve our ads on third‑party platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram). This may be considered “targeted advertising” or “personalized advertising” in some U.S. privacy laws.

You can opt out of our use of your information for targeted advertising by:

  • Contacting us at covenantcrittershelp@gmail.com and requesting that we stop using your information for targeted advertising; and
  • Adjusting your ad preferences in your social media or ad platform accounts (for example, within your Facebook or Instagram settings).

We will honor reasonable opt‑out requests where we have control over those advertising tools.

9. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share your information only with service providers who help us operate our business and website, such as:

  • Website hosting and store platform: GoDaddy Websites + Marketing / Online Store, which hosts our site and stores customer/order data on our behalf.
  • Payment processing: GoDaddy Payments and its payment partners, which process your payment securely.
  • Advertising and analytics: Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and other similar providers that may receive limited data via pixels or similar tools to help us measure or improve our ads.

These service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others.

10. Data storage, location, and retention

  • Storage: Customer and order information is stored primarily within GoDaddy systems and related service providers’ infrastructure, generally in the United States.
  • No local exports: We do not routinely export or store customer data outside of our website platform and its integrated tools (for example, we do not maintain offline spreadsheets of customer lists).
  • Retention: We keep identifiable order records and related personal information for no longer than one year, unless we need to retain information longer to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. After that period, we delete or de‑identify data where reasonably possible.

11. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights over your personal information. Even where not legally required, we will reasonably honor the following requests from our U.S. customers when we can verify your identity:

  • Access: You can request information about the personal data we have about you.
  • Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You can request that we delete personal information, subject to certain exceptions (for example, if we must retain limited data for legal, tax, or fraud‑prevention reasons).
  • Targeted advertising opt‑out: You can ask us to stop using your information for targeted advertising as described above.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at covenantcrittershelp@gmail.com and provide enough information for us to verify your identity (such as your name, email address, and recent order number if applicable). We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable U.S. law.

12. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for use by adults who are purchasing products for children, not directly by children themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; if we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

13. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information, including relying on GoDaddy’s infrastructure, payment processing security, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Third‑party websites and services

Our website may include links to other websites or services (for example, social media pages) that are not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third‑party sites or services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices; you should review their privacy policies separately.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and in some cases we may provide additional notice (such as a brief notice on the website).

Your continued use of the website after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept those changes.
